Frequently Asked Questions

Q. Is tea good for my health?
A. There have been many studies on the health benefits of tea and yes it is good for you. Tea contains antioxidants, these help the body fight free radicals which are the nasty things that can cause such things as cancer and dementia. Tea also helps you get your daily intake of fluids as it is mostly water.

Q. Which tea is best for my health?
A. All teas come from the same plant but they are processed in different ways and this explains the difference in health properties. These differences are relatively small when it gets to the stage of us drinking the tea. Find a good mixture of Black, Green, White and Oolong teas that you like and just enjoy them. If you like the taste you will drink more and reap the benefits.

Q. How much tea should I use?
A. Start with one teaspoon per cup and make sure you use freshly boiled water and steep the tea for the recommended time. If you find the tea is not strong enough add a little more of the leaves, leaving the tea to steep for longer periods just makes it bitter.

Earl Grey Tea

Q. Why does your tea taste so good?
A. The secret is to use the best quality tea leaves, or flowers for the herbal teas. We also use real pieces of fruit for our teas. In this picture you can see the bergamont and citrus in our Earl Grey.

Q. Can I drink tea before I go to bed?
A. Tea does contain caffeine, many people can drink it in the late evening and have no problems sleeping. There are also alternatives such as decaffinated tea, our teas use a carbon dioxide gas to remove the caffeine. There are also naturally caffeine free products like Rooibos.

Tea, best drink of the day.

I have included a short introductory lesson, learn a little more about the second most drank beverage in the world, just behind water. Most of our teas are supplied in 100g and range from $7 for Rooibos and Tea to $20 for some of the exquisite Oolongs.
